AI Hackathons and Coding Classes Introduced by Scale AI for U.S. Schools

President Donald J. Trump’s administration continues to expand its national AI education initiative as Scale AI announces a comprehensive program to upskill teachers and students across the United States. According to the official White House website, Scale AI plans to train up to 1,000 U.S. teachers in AI literacy and classroom applications, empowering them to bring advanced skills and tools into K–12 education. In addition, the initiative aims to equip as many as 500,000 students with basic AI knowledge and practical tools, preparing the next generation for the demands of an AI-driven economy.

AI NEWS – Scale AI will also host a combination of annual AI hackathons and coding classes for K–12 students, fostering hands-on learning, creativity, and problem-solving skills. By engaging students in real-world AI challenges and competitions, the program ensures that young learners not only understand AI concepts but also gain the confidence and experience necessary to innovate.

This commitment aligns with the Trump Administration’s broader strategy of leveraging public-private partnerships to enhance AI literacy, workforce readiness, and U.S. leadership in technology. By focusing on both teacher training and student engagement, Scale AI is helping to build a robust foundation for the future American workforce, ensuring that students across the country have equitable access to AI education and the skills required to succeed in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
