Silver Lake Pledges $1M Annually to Expand AI Training and Workforce Opportunities for Youth

Private investment firm Silver Lake is committing $1 million per year over the next four years to support a range of initiatives focused on artificial intelligence education and workforce readiness. The funding will support AI training, curriculum development, and tools designed to equip America’s youth and young adults with the skills needed to thrive in an AI-driven economy.

AI NEWS – A key focus of Silver Lake’s investment is post-secondary opportunities for students transitioning from education to employment. Through its online talent portal, the firm will offer up to 350 internship candidates annually—primarily undergraduate students—the chance to complete Dell’s Gen AI Training course and earn certification, providing a concrete pathway to career readiness and AI proficiency.

Silver Lake is also partnering with workforce training organizations to expand AI learning opportunities for job seekers seeking upskilling and career advancement. These programs reach over 20,000 learners each year, with Silver Lake contributing to the development of AI training materials, curriculum, and delivery platforms to ensure high-quality, accessible education for participants.

Aligned with the White House’s Pledge to America’s Youth, Silver Lake’s commitment aims to broaden access to AI education, enhance early-career opportunities, and support workforce development in emerging technologies. As the initiative evolves, the firm plans to explore additional ways to leverage AI and other innovations to maximize impact for young learners and future professionals.
